By Trading with Renegade Remaps you accept in whole; all Terms & Conditions stated below.
DEFINITIONS
'US' - Renegade Remaps (and/or its Representative/Agent),
'YOU' - The Customer
"Diagnostic Scan" - The detection of stored Faults in your Vehicles ECU
"Diagnostic Report" - A Digital Report of the Diagnostic Scan
"ECU" - Engine Control Unit (Your Vehicles Main Computer)
"MAP file" - Batch of files stored inside a vehicles ECU responsible for numerous operations (inc. emissions)
For clarity; the Customer does not always mean the end-user. This is the case for all Trade customers or Gift Card Holders.
PRE-TUNE
Before any Remapping is carried out to your vehicle, a DIAGNOSTIC SCAN will be performed. This will produce a DIAGNOSTIC REPORT of your vehicle. This Report will contain a list of FAULT CODES (if any) that are stored in your Vehicle's ECU. This can be used to hint at the current state-of-health of your vehicles engine/components, it is NOT indicative of the overall health of your vehicles engine. It is IMPOSSIBLE for us to advise whether you should or should not have your vehicle Remapped, this is simply because we cannot verify vehicle service history, the amount of internal carbon build-up, the severity of engine wear & hardware tolerances.
By choosing to proceed, you accept in whole that Renegade Remaps and/or any of its Agents are not liable for any kind of loss, damage or injury incurred as a result of any service or advice provided. This includes (but is not limited to) engine failure, component failure/s, permanent damage, total loss or personal injury.
PROTOCOL
Due to the high number of vehicles we have encountered with modified software, we no longer read the MAP FILE on your vehicles ECU. Instead we will read the Calibration number of the existing software & obtain a Brand New version of the Factory Original. This allows us to build your Remap on a clean & fresh foundation everytime, ensuring the best Power is achieved whilst maintaining reliability.
POST-TUNE
If any Functions or Fault Codes were Deleted / Masked from the ecu (a wide spread & nefarious practice in the motor trade), these may be revealed post-tuning with an array of flashing lights on the dash. In this situation our Agent will inform you of the options available to you.
Any additional work requested beyond your original order will incur further charges.
In the unlikely event that you are unhappy with the Service provided, we can revert your vehicle back to it's factory power by installing an ORIGINAL dealer file specifically for your vehicle. If your vehicle was remapped prior, this data will be permanently lost. We will not under any circumstances install 3rd party remapped files.
By reverting your vehicle back to standard power, you accept in whole that Renegade Remaps and/or any of its Agents are not liable for any kind of loss, damage or injury incurred as a result of any service or advice provided. This includes (but is not limited to) engine failure, component failure/s, permanent damage, total loss or personal injury.
It is solely your responsibility to inform your Insurance Company & the Transport Authority about any modifications done to your vehicle. In most cases, any Manufacturer's Warranty Cover remaining is likely to be voided.
NEMESIS PACKAGE
The Nemesis Track Pack includes modification to your Vehicle’s Exhaust system which will result in increased Exhaust emissions & Sound. All Modifications are non-reversible. Minimum 8 Hours required for Fabrication, Modification,
Tuning & Testing. Vehicles with a DPF delete or Decat (or any other Emissions related Modifications) must NOT be driven on Public Roads. This Tuning Package is designed for Off-Road / Track use only. If we suspect the vehicle will be used on Public Roads, we reserve the right to cancel your booking.
OVER-RUN FEATURES
Over-run features such as Pops & Bangs, Flames or Anti-Lag should be used with great caution. Excessive use of these features can have detrimental effects to your Engine & may result in permanent damage. Hidden weaknesses within your engine may also become exposed as your engine will undergo additional loads & forces. Some engines may even suffer catastrophic damage. If in doubt, do not proceed with any over-run options.
FEMTO ECU UNLOCK (BMW)
All locked ECU's will be removed by us & shipped to a partner agency located in Europe for unlocking. Upon its return we will check your ECU & carry out any requested work such as a Power increase or Deletes (via Bench method). A mobile agent will then re-install the ecu once a date/time has been arranged with you.
All ECU's will be removed by us at your HOME. You will keep the keys for your vehicle & are entirely responsible for it during its downtime. We reserve the right to cancel agreed appointments in the event of unsafe conditions.
All ECU's are posted with insured carriage, however due to high customs charges, the declared value of your ECU will only be 50 Euros. Should your ECU become damaged/unrepairable or lost, 50 Euros is the amount you will receive in compensation. All ECU's will be shipped out (and returned) in a protective hard carry case to minimise the possibility of damage-in-transit.
The entire process from removal to road test will take approx. 12 business days, but works may be complete sooner/later.
By purchasing our unlock Service, you accept in whole that Renegade Remaps and/or any of its Agents are not liable for any kind of loss, damage or injury incurred as a result of any service or advice provided. This includes (but is not limited to) Vehicle damage, loss or failure, ECU failure, Engine failure, component failure/s, permanent damage, total loss or personal injury. ECU replacements will not be provided. If in doubt, do not proceed with this service.
ADDITIONAL INFO
We provide non-tangible, bespoke services to you, therefore we do not offer any form of refund on services provided & all sales are Final. A non-refundable Booking fee of £30.00 is applicable on all Mobile callouts. An £80 fee is applicable should a BTS (back-to-stock) Remap be required.
